Vital-Go SMS Consent

Effective May 2026 · Provided for Twilio toll-free verification and user transparency

This page explains how Vital-Go collects SMS consent, what types of messages we send, and how users can manage or cancel their SMS preferences at any time.

Vital-Go collects SMS consent during account registration and on the profile settings page. Consent is captured through a clear, explicit opt-in checkbox that users must manually check before any SMS notifications are enabled.

The checkbox is unchecked by default. Users must actively select it to agree to receive SMS notifications. Vital-Go does not pre-tick or automatically enrol any user in SMS communications.

Users provide their phone number and check the consent checkbox as separate, deliberate steps. Providing a phone number alone does not enrol a user in SMS.

During registration and in profile settings, users are shown the following checkbox. It is unchecked by default and must be manually selected:

I agree to receive SMS notifications from Vital-Go about appointments, account security, device updates, and important platform alerts. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help.

The checkbox above is shown for illustration only. It is unchecked by default when presented to users.

What Messages You Will Receive

Vital-Go sends transactional, non-marketing SMS notifications only. These messages relate directly to your account activity and healthcare appointments. You will never receive promotional, advertising, or marketing SMS messages from Vital-Go.

  • Appointment confirmations - when your appointment request is approved by your doctor
  • 1-hour reminders - sent to both the patient and doctor before an upcoming appointment
  • Appointment cancellation or rejection notices - notifying the affected party
  • Account security alerts - where applicable to your account activity
  • Important platform alerts - related to your connected device or account status

Health Information in SMS Messages

Vital-Go SMS messages do not include protected health information (PHI), diagnoses, clinical notes, vital-sign values, medication details, or medical report content.

SMS notifications are intentionally brief and non-clinical. Users are directed to sign in to their secure Vital-Go dashboard to access full appointment details, health records, and clinical information.

Opting Out of SMS Notifications

You can opt out of Vital-Go SMS notifications at any time:

  • Reply STOP to any Vital-Go SMS message. SMS delivery stops immediately.
  • You may also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, or OPTOUT.
  • Opt-out preferences are honoured immediately and stored in our system. No further SMS messages will be sent to your number until you re-subscribe.
To re-subscribe: Reply START or UNSTOP to any previous Vital-Go message, or update your preference in your Vital-Go profile settings.
